THE PUNJAB MAIL MURDER

The story of the murder in 1931 of George Ramsay Hext, an officer in the Indian Army, on the "Punjab Mail"- one of India's premier express trains. A Polish language, illustrated account of the organisation and history of the Lithuanian Military between 1918 and 1940. Lithuania proclaimed independence from the Russian Empire in 1918. In 1940 Lithuania was invaded by the Soviet Union but in 1941 the nation was occupied by the German forces of the Third Reich. The Soviets reoccupied Lithuania in 1944 and later annexed the country. The book, which has many colour plates illustrating uniforms, insignia, medals, flags and pennants of the Lithuanian military, also contains short synopses in English and French.
